Eat & Drink
The full well-equipped kitchen is perfect for self-catering. It has a dishwasher, full oven, fridge with small icebox, microwave, etc. and a farmhouse table to dine at.
The Masons Arms, a lovely thatched pub with a pretty garden is a three-minute stroll from the cottage. They serve breakfasts, lunch and dinners to give you a break from cooking.
A short drive takes you to Montacute, West and East Coker or Yeovil for a wide choice of dining on the doorstop.
Relax and Unwind
The cottage is all yours. Enjoy the uninterrupted peace with far-reaching views across the apple orchards that surround Odcombe. The large lounge has a large smart TV.
For those feeling energetic, the tennis court is at your disposal - racquets and balls are available.
Bank Farm has a lovely garden, and a section in the orchard has outdoor furniture for the sole use of The Cow Shed.
Local Attractions
The village of Montacute is a 5-minute drive. National Trust-owned Montacute House is an Elizabethan stately home with large gardens. A thirty minute walk from The Cow Shed takes you through the village then through the gardens, with only a short busy-ish road walk.
Ham Hill Country Park is also a 5-minute drive. There is a very nice 5-mile circular walk from the cottage which takes in the country park and The Prince of Wales pub on the hill which serves a super Sunday roast
Working
There is a desk and good wifi at the Cow Shed.
The village of Odcombe is very close to Yeovil and we are on the ‘right’ side of town for Leonardo Helicopters and most of the business estates. We can offer a discount for longer stays. Just ask.
Parking and Bike Storage
There is space on the drive to park a large car. At a squeeze we can accommodate two cars, and there is parking on the road just outside Bank Farm.
Motorbikes and pedal bicycles can be stored in the garage. We have a track pump should you require.
Adults only Policy
Due to there being a pool on site, I regret we cannot allow children. However, you are welcome to bring babies of pre-toddling age. There is no cot supplied.
I regret we do not accept pets.
